President’s Update

To All NGJA Members,
Here is an NGJA update for October 2019.

  1. Register Now for your NGJA Fall Certification Courses – Registration the 2019-20 course in your area is
    now open. Over 170 NGJA members have already registered for the new year and 30 have taken their
    tests.
    a. Resources for your fall Judge’s Courses at NGJA.org – go to the NGJA home page, hover over
    the “Education” tab and click on “2019 Course Sign Up”. Everything you need to prepare for
    your course and tests are provided for you. If your course is not listed, it will be very soon.
    b. NGJA and JO Online Tests – both the National and JO online tests are now available at
    NGJA.org. Once you register for your local course, you will be able to take your tests. Don’t
    procrastinate, take your tests early and get them out of the way!!!
  2. FIG Newsletter 34 – The FIG has released Newsletter 34. You can find the link to it on the home page of
    NGJA.org under the “FIG Latest News”.
  3. NCAA Challenge for 2019 -2020 – this annual program starts in December
    a. NCAA Judges Challenge in December – 4-week team competition with awards is required for
    judges who want to judge NCAA competitions. Registration for teams will start in November.
    b. Emphasis on applying FIG rules at NCAA competitions
    c. Evaluated NCAA routines on NGJA.org for education and comparison
  4. Improve your JO Optional Judging skills – Participate in the NCAA Challenge!!!! Yes, your participation
    in this program will also improve your JO judging skills. So form a team and take advantage of this
    opportunity.
  5. Good Luck to Butch Zunich and John Corbitt, the USA judges at the 2019 World Championships in
    Stuttgart, Germany!!!
  6. Good Luck to the USA Team at the 2018 Individual World Championships in Doha, Qatar!!!
